How do you play a darabukka? Can anyone become a sculptor? Do instruments have their own king? Can your body serve as an instrument? Is it possible to draw impossible objects?
Answers to these and many other questions can be found at the Children’s University of the Arts, which is a series of lessons and workshops for children aged 6 to 12 years, conducted by the Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic and the Strzemiński Academy of Art in Łódź.
Łódź-based artists, teachers, and performers share their passions, reveal the work of an orchestra, experiment with diverse artistic techniques, and convey a wealth of interesting facts concerning the various art disciplines during interactive meetings. The CUA students visit interesting buildings, art studios, concert halls, and so they get a feeling for artistic work. They can pursue their current interests or discover new ones. And they will certainly see for themselves that learning is fun!
The workshops are held twice a month.
The CUA is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
