‘Contem. Ucha’  is the only series of concerts of contemporary music performed in Polish philharmonic halls. It is also a first cycle ever through which contemporary music has found a permanent place in the repertoire of the Philharmonic Orchestra. Through the concerts the audience becomes familiar with major musical achievements over the recent years, presenting the works that until recently could only be seen through recordings. We are introducing the achievements of the artists, both foreign and Polish and promoting an awareness of circle local composers. We are presenting both acoustic and electronic music. We invite the best artists who have solid experience in the performances of new music.  
Lodz music lovers have the opportunity to hear  premiere performances  of such pieces as the Polish premiere of the first version of ‘Hymnen’ by Karlheinz Stuckhausen with Bryan Wolf, organized in cooperation with ‘The Warsaw Autumn’ festival. We also hosted performances of: Leszek Mozdzer, „Lutoslawski Piano Duo”, Laibach, BIT 20 Ensamble and Dominik Polonski.
